Our Commitments

The Sylloge Ethics Statement

We believe the monetization of human knowledge should be transparent, consensual, and fair. These are not aspirations — they are engineering and legal constraints built into the platform.

Data Sovereignty

Your data never leaves your control. Sylloge indexes your documents into isolated, expert-owned vaults. No content is pooled, shared, or used to enrich a shared model without explicit, revocable consent. You may withdraw your vault at any time and all indexed representations are purged within 72 hours.

Transparent Compensation

Every query that draws from your vault is attributed, logged, and compensated. Royalty rates are set by the expert at the time of publishing and are contractually protected. Sylloge earns a platform fee on each transaction; that fee is published and never hidden in the royalty calculation.

No Training Contamination

Expert content is used exclusively for retrieval-augmented generation at query time. It is never used to fine-tune, pre-train, or otherwise alter the underlying language model. This guarantee is enforced architecturally — retrieval pipelines and training pipelines are completely separate and audited quarterly.

Expert Consent

No document enters the Sylloge index without the affirmative, informed consent of the person or organization that created it. Consent is granular: experts choose which document types are indexed, which enterprise clients may query them, and under what usage conditions. Consent can be updated or revoked at any time through the expert portal.

Auditability

Every retrieval event is recorded in an immutable ledger. Experts can audit which queries touched their vault, what was returned, and what royalty was credited. Enterprise clients can audit their usage for compliance. Sylloge's internal access to vault contents is restricted, logged, and subject to third-party review.
